Thermal salt water
Our localised remedy: salt water that contains iodine
Localised thermal brine, which has been processed for medicinal purposes, fulfils the strict requirements of the German Medicines Act (AMG). The production and testing occurs under the supervision of a specialist pharmacist, who co-operates with a qualified contractual laboratory.
The extraction and processing of the thermal brine for medicinal purposes is not a natural course of action – it is subject to compulsory licensing in accordance with the German Medicines Act. This licence is granted by the state public health office, if all the requirements for the production and the quality of the localised remedy are fulfilled.
The route of our brine from the place where it is extracted to the medicinal bath or to the inhalation device is seamlessly documented and thus traceable at any time.
Of course, all the devices and instruments used in the process are regularly tested regarding their functionality. The microbiological characteristics of the processed thermal brine fulfil the requirements of the German Pharmacopoeia. These measures ensure a consistent quality with the application of our iodine-containing thermal brine.
