House and bathing rules for the sauna area of the thermal baths
I. The purpose of the bathing rules
- The house and bathing rules promote safety, order and cleanliness in the swimming pool and thus serve all visitors to the swimming pool. The running of the sauna bath as a communal bath requires mutual consideration.
- The bathing rules are meant to ensure an undisturbed, functionally correct use of the sauna bath for every user.
II. The binding nature of the bathing rules
- The bathing rules are binding for all users. They are posted at the entrance and in the bathing rooms.
- By purchasing the chip coin or on commencement of the bathing session, the visitor to the sauna submits to the bathing rules and all other regulations issued for the maintenance of safety in the facilities.
- In the event of the use of the facility by associations or other formal groups, their leader is also responsible for the compliance with the bathing rules.
III. Visitors to the bath
- Basically, the use of the sauna bath is free for everyone. People with infectious and contagious diseases, with open wounds, skin rashes or with diseases causing offence, epileptics, people who are mentally ill and drunks are excluded from use of the sauna bath.
- The use of the sauna bath always occurs at the user’s own risk, even in the event of compliance with all the bathing rules. In cases of doubt as to whether a visit to the sauna is beneficial, we recommend that you consult your family doctor prior to the use of the sauna. Members of staff at the sauna are not in a position to decide whether the use of the sauna is beneficial for you.
- As a rule, children under 14 years of age are only admitted to the sauna when accompanied by adults.
- The minimum age of accompanying persons is 14 years.
IV. Admission
- The visitor to the sauna acquires the right to use the sauna by purchasing a chip coin at the entrance to the sauna or by redeeming a voucher at the information desk of the thermal baths.
- A one-off payment of EUR 5.00 is added to the chip coin at the turnstile, when crossing over from the sauna to the thermal baths.
V. Opening hours and bathing times
- The opening hours are established by the operator of the bath and are made known by posting a notice. The visitor to the bath undertakes not to exceed these.
- The use of the sauna may be limited in time. The limitation is indicated on the notice board with the price list. If the visitor to the bath exceeds his bathing time, he is obliged to make an additional payment.
VI. Safekeeping of money and valuables
- We wish to point out that there is the possibility to safeguard money and valuables in safe-deposit lockers in the area of the Vitalbar. However, we must reject any liability for valuables and cash, provided that wilfulness or gross negligence is not proven against the operator.
VII. Use of towels
- Bathing towels are provided on loan against payment of the tariff fee and, where applicable, against a deposit as security.
- The bathing towels should be treated with care. Improper use or loss of the bathing towels brings about an obligation to pay compensation.
- After the bathing session, the visitor to the bath must return the bathing towels to the issuing counter.
- If there is a possibility to safeguard your own bathing towels and bathing items at the bath, no liability can be accepted for loss or damage to these items deposited.
VIII. Use of the bath
- The facilities of the bath should be treated with care. Any damage or soiling is forbidden and brings about an obligation to compensate for the damage. Waste containers should be used for paper and other waste. In the event of soiling, we levy a compensatory fee for the cleaning, which has to be paid at once.
- Should a visitor to the sauna find the premises allocated to him in a dirty condition or damaged, he must inform members of staff about this immediately. Belated complaints or objections cannot be taken into account.
- The visitor must lock the changing cubicle or dresser himself. The chip coin key must be kept with him during the bathing session. A sum of EUR 50.00 must be paid for lost keys. The person who lost it is reimbursed if the key is found.
- In addition, the visitor must pay the arranged credit limit of EUR 80.00 (adults) or EUR 15.00 (children) plus the tariff for the respective day ticket in the event of loss of the key.
IX. Behaviour in the bath

- The following are not permitted among other things:
- ) Making noise, singing, whistling and operating radios etc.
- ) Smoking is not allowed in any room with the exception of the Vitalbar
- ) Throwing away glass or other sharp objects

- ) Bringing and eating food
- ) The consumption of the food and drinks purchased here is only allowed in the sauna bar area
X. Enterprise liability
- In the event of accidents, an accident report must be prepared. As a precaution, accident notifications are reported to the liability insurer. Liability shall only arise if wilfulness or gross negligence is proven against members of staff.
- The operator is not responsible for the loss of valuables or similar objects unless wilfulness or gross negligence is proven against it or its agent.
- In all other cases, any liability must be refused, provided that wilfulness or gross negligence is not proven against the operator or its agent. The latter also applies for vehicles and bicycles that are parked in the parking spaces belonging to the bath.
XI. Found objects
- Objects that are found in the bath should be handed in at the cash desk. Found objects are disposed of in accordance with the legal regulations.

- Admission to the bath can be temporarily or permanently forbidden to all the people mentioned above. In the event of expulsion from the bath, the admission fee is not reimbursed.
XIV. Monitoring by closed-circuit TV
- For the security of the visitors to the bath, the entrance area to the sauna and to the adjoining changing area is monitored by closed-circuit TV.
Special rules for the use of the sauna:
XV. Prior cleaning
- Each visitor to the bath is obliged to thoroughly clean his body before commencement of the sauna bath.
- Glass bottles and other glass objects must not be brought with you into the sauna. It is also forbidden to carry food with you or to consume it.
- We strongly recommend that you use the toilet prior to using the showers and before bathing.
XVI. Behaviour in the sauna room
- When using the sauna rooms, the visitor to the sauna should take into consideration that the high temperatures of up to 40°C on the floor and up to 100°C at the ceiling, are really typical for these rooms. Appropriate care must be taken. You should refrain from touching the oven and from fiddling with the thermostats, thermometers and other fittings of the sauna room.
- For reasons relating to hygiene and the healthy effect of the sauna, you should wear open-toed bathing sandals during your sauna session. However, due to the high temperatures in the sauna rooms, they must not be brought along with you to the sauna rooms.
- Each user of the sauna room should quietly stay in his space, for his own advantage, but also in consideration of other visitors to the sauna. We recommend that you sit and lie in a relaxed way and that you sit up to conclude the sauna session. Consideration to other visitors to the sauna, who seek relaxation in the sauna, requires a quiet behaviour.
- Infusions of water on the ovens are always carried out by members of staff. In our bath, we only use purely natural substances for infusions. The intervals for the infusions are determined individually by members of staff and depending on activity. As a rule, these occur at hourly intervals.
- It is strictly forbidden to bring spirits or intensely smelling essences along with you and, above all, to pour such substances or even inflammable concentrates of infusions onto the oven. An infringement against this regulation endangers your own safety and the life of your fellow bathers to the utmost, as such substances, if not distributed in an appropriate way in water, are set alight in the oven and cause sauna fires.
- The sauna room should be left by walking out calmly and by closing the door quietly. The duration of your stay in the sauna room depends on your own preference. We warn against waiting patiently for periods of time controlled by the clock. Incidents can be triggered by extremes.
XVII. Behaviour in the open-air bath
- The effect of the heat in the sauna on circulation requires that one walks to and fro in the open-air bath with easy steps.
- When breathing in the open-air bath, attention should be paid to exhaling. You should not inhale exceedingly, because cramp could thus arise.
- In the event of thin ice, only the cleared paths may be used.
XVIII. The use of Kneipp facilities, showers and immersion pools
- The use of Kneipp facilities and body showers should take place according to the pieces of advice from members of staff and the regulations for the sauna.
- Prior to using the immersion pools, your body must be cleaned of sweat. It is forbidden to jump from the edge of the pool in order to avoid accidents.
XIX. Behaviour in the relaxation rooms
- You must not talk loudly in the relaxation rooms. The visitor to the bath should refrain from doing anything that could disturb other visitors to the bath.
- The use of loungers is only permitted when dressed (bathrobe, wrap-round bathing towel etc.). It is not permitted to reserve loungers by putting textile objects onto them.
XX. Technical facilities
- The operation of technical equipment must be exclusively undertaken by members of staff. Any fiddling with equipment of the bath must cease. Unauthorised operation may cause far-reaching liability claims. A criminal charge due to vandalism is possible.
